Originally from Texas, Dr. Stephen Laycock fell in love with Colorado at a young age with winter ski trips and summers spent near Pagosa Springs, CO with his family.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas in 1992. Postgraduate training brought Dr. Laycock to Denver General Hospital (now Denver Health Medical Center) for completion of a general practice residency.
Dr. Laycock has been practicing in Colorado for 25 years, both in Colorado Springs and Boulder. His goal is to provide excellent oral health care by listening first, then working together with patients to develop and implement a personalized plan for long term oral health.
Dr. Laycock is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Boulder County Dental Society. He continues his lifelong education through these organizations and attending continuing education classes.
During the course of his career, Dr. Laycock has seen great improvements in dental technology. This is an exciting time to provide excellent quality dentistry in a conservative and comfortable manner that was not possible a few years ago.
Dr. Laycock enjoys spending his free time hiking Boulder trails with his wife Christine, an internal medicine physician, and their two Dalmatians, Sandy and Bode. You can also find him trail running and cycling the canyons along the Front Range.
Dr. Laycock and his wife also enjoy attending activities at their local Flatirons Church in Lafayette.
Fun Fact: Dr. Laycock enjoys traveling to cheer for his Texas Aggie sports team!
