⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My husband and I are new patients at W&P and our first visit was great! The office staff was welcoming, we were greeted and completed necessary registration easily. Our appointments were on time and went just as described. We both really liked Dr. Villescas and his hygienist, Stacie was thorough, gentle and explained everything as she went. Same was true for Dr. Villescas and he allowed time at the end for asking questions. We’re both so happy to have found great dental care and the “In-House” Insurance policy offered is a great deal for us as well. Thanks W&P, DDS!

What to Do in a Dental Emergency (Immediate First Aid):
While waiting to see us, here are some steps you can take to manage common dental emergencies:
- Severe Toothache: Rinse your mouth with warm water and try to gently floss to remove any trapped food. You can also apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek.
- Knocked-Out Tooth: Handle the tooth by the crown (the top part). Gently rinse it with milk or saline solution (if available), being careful not to scrub off any tissue. Try to reinsert the tooth into its socket and hold it in place. If you can’t reinsert it, place it in a container of milk, saline solution, or even your own saliva and bring it with you to your appointment immediately.
- Dislodged or Loose Tooth: Gently try to reposition the tooth with your finger (don’t force it) and avoid chewing on that side. Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek.
- Fractured or Broken Tooth: Rinse your mouth with warm water. If there is bleeding, apply gentle pressure with a clean gauze. Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling.
- Lost Filling or Crown: If possible, try to temporarily replace the crown with over-the-counter dental cement or denture adhesive. Avoid chewing on that side.
- Abscess or Swelling: Apply a cold compress to the outside of the affected area. Do not try to puncture the abscess.
- Severe Bleeding: Apply firm but gentle pressure to the bleeding area with a clean gauze for 15-20 minutes. If the bleeding doesn’t stop, continue applying pressure and come to our office immediately.
- Object Stuck Between Teeth: Gently try to remove the object with dental floss. Do not use sharp or pointed objects. If you can’t remove it, contact us.
